About
I've spent the last five years working in game art production — shipping assets for titles you've probably heard of, working alongside teams big and small. I've seen what it looks like when a game succeeds. I've also watched good games, made by genuinely talented people, quietly disappear.
That second part stayed with me.
I've been following indie developers - mostly solo or two-person teams - watching their games take shape. I've played some of them. Some were genuinely great. A few sold dozens of copies. Some never got an English release despite having one ready.
That's part of why this site exists.
I'm not a critic. I'm not a consultant. I'm a player who works in the industry and happens to speak both English and Mandarin. Across Indies is where I write about the indie games that stuck with me - and where I try to help the ones that deserve more reach find it.
If you're a developer - East or West - and you think your game belongs in front of a different audience, I'd like to hear from you.
